2018 Residential Visit to Stubbington

Dear Parents and Carers,

2018 Residential Visit to Stubbington Study Centre Year 3 & 4

This year’s residential trip open to our lower school, Years 3 and 4, is a trip to Stubbington Study Centre. We are able to offer 50 children the opportunity to go on the residential trip from 21st to 25th May, 2018.

Stubbington has long been established and used by thousands of local pupils over many years.  In fact, I expect some of you may have been there as a child!  It has recently been refurbished and the children sleep in dormitories with a member of staff on hand.  They have 3 filling meals a day, supper, lots of fun, educational activities and learn to look after themselves.  I have never heard of any child who has not had a great time there.  They even get the opportunity to sneak out at night in their pyjamas and watch badgers, which is magic!

The cost of this residential is £235.00. This includes all of the children’s meals, their activities and the coach to get them there and back again.

If your child would like to reserve a place on this trip please return the attached slip together with a £50 deposit (non-refundable) by Friday 20th October.  Your deposit must be paid by cash or cheque (made payable to Beechwood Junior School) once your place is confirmed all future payments can be paid online via our online payment system.  You will be issued with a payment card and may pay in instalments. Places will be provided strictly on a first come first serve basis.

In the Spring term, we will hold a parents information evening where you will be able to find out more about the trip including the itinerary for the week and items your child will need to pack. If you have any concerns about your child taking part in this trip please do not hesitate to contact me.

Yours sincerely,

Mrs Sue Marsh

Headteacher
