Mary Rose visit 28th Sept.

Dear parents/carers,

Welcome back, we hope you had a lovely summer break. Before the holidays we wrote to tell you about our first topic called ‘Journey to the New World’. As part of this, we are going to the Portsmouth Historical Dockyard on the 28th September to visit the Mary Rose (A Tudor war ship) and the Victory (launched in 1765). Both of these amazing boats will help give the children some idea of what life might have been like traveling and exploring across the oceans.

The cost of this trip is £14 per child. If you haven’t already paid for this trip, please can you do so as soon as possible.

The children will need to wear normal uniform and bring a packed lunch on the day. If your child normally has free school meals then you can order a packed lunch for them using the slip below. Also on the day, children will be allowed to bring up to £5 to spend in the onsite gift shop, which they are responsible for if you would like them to. Some of the trip is outside so please make sure your child is dressed according to the weather conditions (hopefully lots of sunshine).

If you have any further questions please contact me.

Best wishes

Mrs Furby
