Pupils should not be on site before 8:30 am

Dear Parent/Carer

We would like to remind everyone that pupils should not be on site before 8:30 am unless they are attending breakfast club.

We are having an increasing number of parents that are dropping off children at the playground and/or library before 8.30am. This is not allowed as these areas are not supervised before 8.30am and we cannot accept liability for children that are left unsupervised.

You are welcome to use the library in the morning but this is strictly on a parent and child basis, so you can enjoy quiet library time together. At no time should any child be in the library before 8.30am on their own without direct supervision from their own parent.

We provide a Breakfast Club facility that starts at 7.30am and any parent needing their child to be in school before 8.30am should use this facility. Breakfast Club is open to everyone and doesn’t need to be pre-booked. Just take your child to the dining room and pay £3.00 on the day.

From September, any child that is left unsupervised at school before 8.30am will be taken to Breakfast Club and the £3.00 charge will apply.

If you have any queries regarding this letter, please do not hesitate to contact the school office.

Yours sincerely,

Mrs S Marsh
Headteacher
