Re: Transition Day Wednesday 5th July and Parents’ Meeting on 6th July 2017
As you know your child has a place at Beechwood from September. We hope they have been enjoying their transition visits to Beechwood so far. We have certainly been enjoying having the chance to start to get to know the children.
On Wednesday 5th July the children will be with us for the whole day. You will need to bring your child directly to Beechwood and come into the lower playground (the playground adjoining Brooke Pre-school) and wait by the Year 3 door (the first double door on the left as you enter the playground). The teachers will collect the children from there at 8.40am and take them into their classes. You will need to collect your child from the same place at 3.05pm.
The children should be wearing their usual school uniform and bring a water bottle and packed lunch if they are having sandwiches. If they are having a school meal we will sort that out in the morning when they arrive.
You are also invited to attend a meeting for parents on Thursday 6th July at 6pm. This will be a question and answer session for you to ask any burning questions you may have about September or Beechwood in general. There will be members of the senior leadership team available to answer any questions you may have.
Your child will be bringing home a letter on the 5th July letting you know the name of their new teacher and giving you a chance to book an appointment to meet with them on Monday 17th July between 1:30pm and 7pm.
If you have any questions about transition day please don’t hesitate to contact Mrs Jill Gardner (Assistant Head – Inclusion – firstname.lastname@example.org). We look forward to working with you and your child.
