Guildhall Concert – Wednesday 3rd December
Thank you very much for getting your children to the rehearsal on Saturday 14th November. The Beechwood children stood out as the ones who knew their words the best – I was very proud! Don’t forget that the second rehearsal is this Saturday, 28th November at 1.30pm; same venue and arrangements as last time.
I have sorted out the tickets and have given them to the children at choir today so please make sure you have got them.
On the day of the concert we’ll be taking the children by coach to the Guildhall for a final rehearsal in the morning. We’ll leave at 10.45am and will not be back until approx. 12.45. Please can you send your child to school with a packed lunch that day in case we get back too late for the kitchen. If your child is entitled to a free school lunch I will order a packed lunch from the kitchen for them. If you would rather provide your own then please let me know.
Dress for the evening is school uniform on the bottom half (grey or black skirts or trousers and dark school shoes – not boots); on the top half they need to wear a plain coloured short‑sleeved T‑shirt (not sleeveless, and no pictures or logos on the front). It can be any colour except black or white.
The concert starts at 7.00pm. I’ll meet the children in the Guildhall Square from 6.15pm. The doors will open from 6.20pm to let the children in. The children will need to give you their coats before they go in, as we’ll have nowhere to store them. The children must not have mobile phones with them.
The Guildhall organisers have asked me to say that you will not be allowed to take photos or videos during the performance. At the end of the performance, which should be at about 9.00pm, we’ll deliver your children to you at the rear of the tiered seating.
Many thanks for your support.
