High School Musical

Dear parents and carers,

Our end of Year 6 production is fast approaching and rehearsals are going well. It is going to be an amazing show and it is the first time we are using the newly built, state-of-the-art theatre at Bitterne Park. The performances will be on Tuesday 16th July at 1pm and 7pm at the Bitterne Park Theatre.

Tickets cost £5 to help cover the associated costs and we are very pleased to be able to tell you that Solent Creative have agreed to come and film the performances so we will have a professional quality DVD as well.  Tickets will be available to purchase from Monday 24th June using Ticket Source. This means that you will be able to log in via the link from our website, or using the QR code on this form and choose your seats.  Refreshments will be available to purchase at each performance.

On Monday 15th July, the children will be at Bitterne Park all day for dress rehearsals. This means that on that day, the children need to be dropped straight to Bitterne Park for 8:45am rather than come to Beechwood.  Bitterne Park has confirmed that parents can drop children off on the Copsewood Road side of the campus at the car park gate and the children walk through the staff car park to the top tennis courts where we will meet and register them there. They will then need to be collected at 3pm from the tennis courts unless they are walking home. If they are walking home, please inform your class teacher using the attached reply slip by Friday 12th July. We ask that the children bring a packed lunch and plenty of water or squash that day.

On Tuesday 16th July the children will again be at Bitterne Park all day so will need to be dropped off again for 8:45am. They will require a packed lunch, a packed dinner and lots of fluids (we will also have snacks and drinks for them). They will all complete both performances – 1pm and 7pm and will be required to be collected from the Bitterne Park Theatre at 9pm after the second performance. We ask that on both days the children leave their mobile phones and any form of technology at home (we will be taking lots of pictures) as we will be in and out of dressing rooms however they can bring a book or a notepad and pen to help keep themselves occupied when they are not needed on stage.

We are very much looking forward to sharing their hard work and hope you are excited to see it! Ticket and arrangements letter (1)
