Keeping busy and enjoying the outdoors

We have been keeping busy this week and enjoying the outdoors. Lots of walks and bike rides. Evie seems much happier when we are outside. We have been looking at how much our tomato plants and runner beans are growing and have managed to grow some flowers, Sunflowers, and pumpkins from seed. Evie is doing a great job of watering them from the water we have collected in the water butt. She has enjoyed finding lots of different rocks and matching them up to see what type of rocks they are, and she noticed how the slate in our garden had lots of layers and different colours. She has been practicing times tables and is starting to recall some of them – I believe she is becoming a little more confident with these now. We had a go at the Time Worksheet which Evie enjoyed as we had done some bits on time at the start of lockdown. It was nice to see how much she’d remembered. Evie is still enjoying her online weekly flute lessons with Mrs. Perrit and we have had lots of online concerts. She is also doing a weekly online tap and ballet class. She speaks regularly on FaceTime to her friends from school. Our good news story this week is Evie got a medal for cycling over 10 miles raising money for the NHS.
