Year 4 Visit to Sea City Museum Thursday 27th September 2018
We are planning an exciting trip for the children to the Sea City Museum in Southampton. The visit will be part of our topic this term on the Titanic. This will include a discovery session where they will learn and follow the stories of the crew on board. They will also take part in a Titanic workshop where they will explore what life on board would have been like for the passengers by dressing up and examining artefacts.
We will be leaving school by bus at approximately 9.30 am and will return to school by
3.00 pm. If your child normally has school dinners, please provide a packed lunch. If your child normally receives a free school meal, please indicate on the attached slip if you would like a packed lunch provided for them. The children will need to wear school uniform and need to bring a warm coat and suitable flat shoes.
We are asking for a contribution of £14.50 to cover the costs of the trip. We appreciate this is expensive but feel it is very worthwhile. For your information, the cost is made up as follows:
Coach cost – £690.00
Seacity – £596.00
Total cost – £1286.00
If you would like to pay for this trip in instalments, please indicate this on the reply slip and return to the office with the first instalment. However, please be aware that the trip will need to be paid for in full before the trip takes place.
Please pay on-line by cash or cheque (cheques payable to Beechwood Junior School) by Wednesday 26th September. If insufficient contributions are received, unfortunately, this visit may need to be canceled.
Thank you for your continued support.
