On Thursday, Year 6 were lucky to have the opportunity to visit the D-day museum in Southsea, which was related to their topic: World War II. During their visit, children got to act out what it would have been like in an air-raid, handle artefacts and explored the Overlord Embroidery which tell the story of WW2 from the blitz to victory in 34 panels of fabric.
A year 6 pupil has shared what they liked about the museum most: “I liked when we got to see lots of replicas of tanks and ships, which I found interesting. Also, we got to find out lots of facts that we didn’t know.”- Jacob. A-R
